HER STORY
Where the work comes from
Ruth O’Sullivan is an accredited clinical hypnotherapist based on the Gold Coast, specialising in anxiety, habit change and weight management, with over ten years of practice and a Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy.
Ruth qualified as an accredited clinical hypnotherapist in 2014 and has run Trust Hypnotherapy since 2015. Before that she worked in mental health, as a Senior Peer Coordinator with Queensland Health.
That background shapes how she works. She has sat with people at hard points in their lives, and she does not treat a habit as a character flaw. Sessions are calm. You are not judged and you are not rushed.
She works with your strengths, not against your habits. You stay awake and aware the whole time. The work happens at the level where habits form, but you stay in control of it. As Ruth puts it, this is partnership, not pressure.
Hypnotherapy is a complementary therapy. It does not replace medical care. Where seeing your GP is the right step, Ruth will say so.
QUALIFICATIONS
What Ruth has trained in
Accredited Clinical Hypnotherapist
Accredited since 2014, with a Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy. Practising as Trust Hypnotherapy since 2015.
Bachelor of Social Science
Formal university training in how people think, behave and change. Not a weekend course.
Mental Health Background
Senior Peer Coordinator with Queensland Health. She is also an accredited Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor.
Professional NLP Practitioner
Qualified in NLP — neuro-linguistic programming. She is working towards the Master Practitioner level now.
Still Learning
Ruth is studying for a Diploma of Counselling alongside her practice, so her support stays current.

In-person sessions across the Gold Coast — Southport, Robina, Burleigh Heads and nearby suburbs. Some sessions happen in your own home, if that suits you better.
Maryborough
Ruth runs regular visiting clinics in Maryborough and across the Fraser Coast. If you are in the area, ask when she is next up.
Online
Video sessions anywhere in Australia. They work the same way as in person. You need a quiet room, a steady connection, and time alone.
